We interrupted this program to bring you a year in the life of one sweet Cupcake baby, and now we are back to our regularly scheduled programming…
That is at least the plan I have, to get back to writing more often, we will see how the little cupcake feel about that, lol!! I do miss writing, and sharing thoughts, and recipes, and interacting in an online forum kinda way, so I am really going to make a concerted effort to get bcd to it, right after Christmas!!:-) Nothing productive gets written around my house at Christmas time, too many cookies to bake, celebrations to attend, goodies to eat and so on. After Christmas, that is my promise and my plan, to be back in regular writing form then, now here’s praying it will happen!!
Just to prove that I can still write while chasing a now toddling munchkin I will tell you my Christmas dinner plans. Caution, drooling may occur;-)
Spiral sliced ham with a brown sugar and cider glaze
slow roasted beef with horseradish sauce
roasted root vegetable, turnips, carrots, squashes, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, parsnips and brussell sprouts, with a cider maple glaze
loaded mashed potato casserole
fluffy fresh baked biscuits
that’s just dinner, for appetizers we will have
bacon wrapped baby potatoes
cheese and olive platter
and for dessert we are having
eggnog cheesecake with a gingersnap crust
cookie dough truffles
apple spice gingerbread cake
All of these offerings will be gluten free and dairy free, oh yes, and they will be feeding just 8 people!!! LOL, I can’t help myself, I just find too many things I want to make, and show my love and devotion to my dearest ones by stuffing them full of goodness, warming their hearts through their bellies:-) So, if you are in the area and want to stop by, feel free, just pull up a chair, grab a plate and dive in, we will have plenty!
I will post many of these recipes after Christmas, except maybe the cookie dough truffles, those have been requested to be posted ASAP!!!
