As I write this I am sitting in the shade of a palm tree, balmy breezes blowing by. Peaceful and content, just what we needed after a week of VBS craziness, ahhhhh. The surf crashing at our feet has offered up a bounty of lovely seashells, and the eerie world underwater, well that is a paradise all it’s own. Beautiful…
“look at that, did you see that?” is heard over the surf every so often, and yes daddy did see those zebra fish, the small skate, and the other myriad tropical fish living in the coral jetty near us. Snorkeling has opened up a new, beautiful world to the kids, and now that they have figured it out, they lazily paddle about, searching, squealing and sputtering along, chasing after poor unsuspecting fish.
Now we are off to pet and train some dolphins, it is good to have a sister with friends!!!! If you ever happen to be in the Marathon area, check out the Dolphin Research Center, these people do amazing work with abandoned, injured, and born in captivity dolphins, and even let you try it out for a day, or, as we learned(much to my financial dismay!) your kids can do a week long summer camp there, mmmhhmmmm ouch! Check them out here, and for you homeschoolers, they have a science curriculum for $20 for grades k-8. Go to dolphin research center
Beauty and dolphins, they just go together down here!!!
