Popcorn seasoning, sweet and fun gift for all!

Do you still have things to get on your Christmas list for a few hard to buy for folks. How about these great popcorn seasonings, a super sweet and fun gift for all who receive it, I mean really, who doesn’t love popcorn?! Flavored popcorn, score!! Flavored popcorn with no nasty chemicals or strange to pronounce food-like substances, super score!!

The fact that this is cheap, quick, and you likely have most, if not all of the ingredients in your cupboards make this an ideal gift for most anyone on your list, just add a nice canning jar with ribbon and you are all set.

Sweet and spicy popcorn seasoning recipe

Serves 4-6
Prep time 5 minutes

a quick sweet and spicy popcorn seasoning recipe, a perfect gift, or quick snack item! The spice from Ehtiopian berbere adds a sweet heat that is addictive!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon maple sugar (if necessary you can substitute in equal amounts of coconut sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon Ethiopian Berbere (more can be added to taste, but start small)

Directions

Step 1
blend all ingredients together and store in resealable air, keep dry until ready for use.
Step 2
Make popcorn according to directions in your kernels, toss lightly with a small amount of oil or butter, then liberally sprinkle with sweet and spicy blend, to taste.

gingerbread popcorn seasoning recipe

Serves 4-6
Prep time 5 minutes
Allergy Milk, Peanuts, Soy, Tree Nuts, Wheat
Dietary Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian
Meal type Snack
Misc Child Friendly, Pre-preparable

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground clove
  • 2 pinches sea salt

Directions

Step 1
blend all ingredients together, store in resealable glass jar, keep dry.
Step 2
follow package instructions for making popcorn. Drizzle popped popcorn with oil or melted butter, sprinkle liberally with gingerbread seasoning.

 

These will be going out in gift baskets later this week, and they will be a huge hit, if my crews devouring of the test batches is any indication:-)
