The “Key” to success…

The keys to good ketogenic life, and a (hopefully) seizure free one too, be flexible, be creative, be willing to eat most anything, measure carefully, eat nothing mom did not make or measure, eat everything you are given, and again, be willing to consume anything!! Those are “key” to a good ketogenic lifestyle, and Little Man has achieved that status, he is now in ketosis!!!!
Yay, this means his body is running on full-fat-fuel, which in theory, should create an environment that is seizure free in his brain. We will see, it takes time for results to be seen, but so far we have leaped the first hurdles with ease, I can measure vast quantities of super heavy cream, and he can eat it:-). His body can burn the fat and produce ketones, check and double check, he can have seizures, while hooked up to a few dozen monitors and brain wave sensors, just so they can see ‘me, triple woohoo check. That last one has been the hardest for us, he never manages to have seizures on camera, but now he has, so we are all done, no more mummy boy!!!
Again, thank you to all who have been praying for him, he is in good spirits, feeling pretty good, and happy to be free of wires, and your prayers have all helped!!! We will hopefully go home tomorrow, to begin our new crazy-food life, cause we were not crazy enough already when it came to food, jeeeesh!!!
Note to all, do not invite us over for dinner unless you can handle all the dishes and stuff we now carry, we truly have baggage, food baggage:-)
Ps, if you ever are stuck in the hospital, call on Hubby to come and customize your white board, there may be no room for your nurses chart info or name, but it will be tres cool, and completely original, enjoy!
