Vegan Almond Joy Fudge, GF and DF

Do you ever want a sweet fudge treat, but are Vegan, DF, GF and any other number of letters, free?  Not sure about you, but I find there are so few things I can eat now, that I crave them all the more, grrr:-/  So, since I have a craving, and refuse to give up eating yummy food entirely, I decided to create something amazing I could eat, and once I did I wanted to share it with all of you.  So here it is folks, an uber delish Vegan Almond Joy Fudge, GF and DF.  Rich and fudgey, with bites of almond and coconut flakes, it really hits the sweet spot, but packs a round house punch of nutrition and healthy fats.

This recipe is perfect for those who want to lose weight, but battle the sweet tooth monster, or for those trying out a protein powder and maybe have not learned to love the flavor.  Also great for those of us with super small kids who could use a little more nutrition squeezed into them.  This is a completely whole foods recipe, nearly Paleo if you remove the extract, but also very versatile.  Don’t like almond butter(or the cost of almond butter!) use peanut butter or SunNut butter instead. Don’t like or have maple syrup, use honey, see, totally flexible, and still totally delish!  This also can be made without the Shakeology, just up the cocoa powder a bit, you can replace the powder with Profit too.

With only 10 minutes from start to finish, plus chilling time, you can easily whip this up before your next PiYo workout(go Hubby!!) and this Vegan Almond Joy Fudge, Gf and DF it will be ready and waiting for you as a post-workout pick me up!!


Vegan Almond Joy Fudge, GF and DF

a über yummy vegan, shakeology, gf, df, almond joy fudge recipe, perfect for a sweet treat, or a late night nosh, quick and easy to make!! Super nutrition in the Shakeology makes these a great quick snack for the whole family!


  • 2/3 cups almond butter(or natural PB)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup (or honey if not vegan)
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 scoop vegan chocolate Protein powder (ProFit is not vegan, but will work for non-vegan users)
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2/3 cups coconut flakes
  • 1/3 cup rough chopped almonds(reserve 2 Tbsp for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons finely shredded coconut
  • 1 drizzle coconut oil chocolate, not necessary, but nice:-)


Step 1
In small sauce pot combine almond butter, coconut oil, almond extract, maple syrup, vegan chocolate protein powder(ProFit powder), and cocoa powder.
Step 2
Once you have all the ingredients in the small pot, turn it on to low, and allow to warm.
Step 3
While your fudge is warming take a 8x8 baking dish and line it with foil or plastic wrap.
Step 4
Once the almond butter and maple syrup mix is warmed and smooth, stir in your coconut flakes and almond pieces. you can use shredded coconut for this recipe, but I prefer the texture of the flakes, the choice is yours here:)
Step 5
When you have the mixture fully blended carefully spoon it into the prepared 8x8 pan and smooth.
Step 6
Drizzle with the coconut oil chocolate if using(not necessary) and sprinkle with the reserved almond pieces and coconut shreds. Press into the fudge, and then chill.
Step 7
once fully chilled(about 45 minuets until set) cut into squares, and enjoy!! Be prepared, this is so good you will be sneaking small pieces every time you walk by the fridge, but have no fear, it is healthy, full of protein, and the super healthy coconut oil fats!!
